The Minister of Tourism and Sports, through the Mallorca Film Commission, an entity that belongs to the Mallorca Tourism Foundation of the Tourism and Sports Department of the Consell de Mallorca, has explained the lines of action and support to the audiovisual sector by 2020
In this first meeting at La Misericordia, Andreu Serra presented himself to the island audiovisual sector and expressed his support for this industry, taking into account the tourism and promotion skills of his department.
Actors from the industry as heterogeneous as exhibitors, festivals, producers, service or creators, who have presented some of their demands to public institutions, have attended the meeting. In this regard, the Minister has pledged to “carry out an inter-agency coordination task that will allow adding efforts and public resources” to achieve a stronger and more consolidated sector.
Finally, all parties have pledged to meet periodically, in smaller committees, to discuss their own issues which concern each area.
